Elizabeth Williams Harvey

Ms. Elizabeth Williams Harvey, age 90, a resident of Clapps Mountain Top Living Apartments, 450 Mountain Top Drive, Asheboro, died August 7, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center, following a brief illness.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00, Wednesday, August 14, at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro with Pastor Barry Wall officiating.

Ms. Harvey was born in Randolph County, February 9, 1934, daughter of Charles F. and Sally Caudle Williams. She worked for Burlington Industries as a secretary in the Corporate Engineering Dept. for 23 yrs. She also worked for the Greensboro Housing Authority as a secretary in the Capital Improvements Dept. for 7 years and retired from there on December 5, 1997.

Ms. Harvey is survived by her sister, Nancy W. Williams, niece Teressa Williams (Larry Sauer), niece Debbie W. Carlisle (Scott). Great niece, Jessica C. Burns (Michael), five great- great nieces and nephews of Bettendorf, IA. Step-Great nephew, Alexander Carlisle (Michelle) and a great-great niece of Clayton, NC. Last but certainly not least, her Kitty LiLu.

Libby was preceded in death by her parents and brother Charles T. Williams (Dorothy), brother-in-law Charlie E. Williams.

Libby, as she was known by her family and friends, loved Jesus and her church. Libby loved her sister Nancy and spent many summers on St. Simons Island and doing many other things together. She had a special talent for quilting. She made many bright, colorful quilts over her lifetime. All beautifully stitched by hand. She knitted and crocheted afghans and sweaters. Libby was also a veracious reader. She enjoyed puzzles and caring for her flowers. Libby had a love of cooking and new recipes.
