Elizabeth McGee Gray

Elizabeth "Betsy" McGee Gray, age 68, of 571 McDermott St., Asheboro died Sunday, August 9, 2009 at her home. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Oakhurst Baptist Church, 2225 South Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Dr. Richard Crider officiating. Ms. Gray was a native of Catawba County and a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church. She was retired from the Randolph County D.A.'s office and was former secretary at the First E & R Church. Ms. Gray was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Edna Robinson McGee, brother, Johnny McGee and sister-in-law, Barbara McGee. Betsy loved spending time with her grandchildren, friends and family. Quilting and collecting NC pottery were special hobbies of hers. She is survived by sons, Eric Gray and his wife Rhonda of Asheboro, Chris Gray and his wife Cheri of Asheboro; sister, Diane M. Byrd and her husband Johnny of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Julia, Alexzandra, Olivia, Jordan, and Briana Gray; former husband, Bill Gray of Asheboro, NC; 4 nephews; 1 niece. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 11, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice Of Randolph, P.O.
