Elizabeth Faulkner

Mary Elizabeth Faulkner, age 84, of Randleman died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Randolph Hospital. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 1:00-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Harmon and Dr. Boyd Byerly officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Mrs. Faulkner was born in Scotland County on November 7, 1930 to Willie and Frances Haywood Faulkner. She was formerly employed in the textile industry. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Carl Edward Faulkner, son Willie Faulkner, and brothers Howard and James Faulkner. Elizabeth loved her family and always put her children first. She loved her church and her Lord and Savior and was a member of Bible Truth Baptist Church. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening and had a "green thumb." She is survived by her daughters, Ann Spell and husband Jimmy of Asheboro, Ruth Johnson and husband Curtis of Randleman; son, Eddie Faulkner and wife Karen of Asheboro; grandchildren, Todd Spell, Amy Spell, Jamie Tilley, Chris Faulkner, Tabitha Cochran, Donnie Johnson, Lisa Davis, Brandy Faulkner; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Morton and Virginia Thornton both of Asheboro; and brothers, Everette Faulkner and wife Jane of Millboro, Roger Faulkner and wife Betty, Richard Faulkner and wife Carol, David Faulkner and wife Linda all of Asheboro, and Ronnie Faulkner and wife Ruth Ann of Millboro.
