Elizabeth "Beth" Wright Baker

Elizabeth “Beth” Wright Baker, age 69, of Asheboro passed away on December 24, 2023 at TerraBella Asheboro.

Mrs. Baker was born in Asheboro on January 6, 1954 to Arnold and Hilda Prevost Wright.  She was retired from Acme-McCrary Hosiery and was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church.  Beth loved taking trips to the beach, spending time with her grandchildren, and her Boxer, BooBoo.

She is survived by her husband, David L. Baker; son, Matthew Thomas Baker and wife Karen of Asheboro; grandchildren, Macie, Madilyn, and Mia Baker all of Asheboro; sister, Jane Clayton and husband Ronald of Asheboro; nephew, Spencer Clayton and wife Jessica, and their children, Henry and Sutton Clayton; and her special friends, Kathy McElreath and Vivian Owens.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 11:00 am-12:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.  Funeral services will follow on Friday at 1:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Kidd officiating.  Interment will be held at Randolph Memorial Park.
