Elise Spivey Trogdon, age 99, of 3048 Bruce Pugh Rd., Franklinville died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her homeThe funeral will be Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 N.C. Hwy 22 North, Franklinville with Rev. Doug Miller and Emma Bruce Routh officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately after the funeral service in the church fellowship hall.Mrs. Trogdon was born September 3, 1909 the daughter of James and Alice Love Spivey.Mrs. Trogdon was a native of Randleman and had worked at Commonwealth Hosiery Mill and A. J. Schneierson's of Randleman. She was a member of Gray's Chapel United Methodist Church where she had been an adult Sunday School teacher and choir member. She was known throughout the Franklinville community for her fried apple pies. She was preceded in death by her husband: Reginald Dewey Trogdon; one son: Kerney Maurice Trogdon and one daughter: Jeanette Trogdon. She is survived by: son and his wife, Dalton and Trudy Trogdon of Franklinville, NC; daughter and her husband, Myrna and Charles Callicutt of Franklinville, NC; grandson and his wife, Steven and Ann Callicutt of Pisgah, NC; grandson and his wife, Jeffery and Nena Callicutt of Randleman, NC; granddaughter and her husband, Anita and Aaron Trogdon of Franklinville, NC; grandson and his wife, Dalton Trogdon Jr. and Robin of Franklinville, NC; grandson, Bobby Lee Trogdon of Franklinville, NC; granddaughter and her husband, Teresa and Chris Boling of NY; granddaughter, Betsy Ann Trogdon of Franklinville, NC; granddaughter and her husband, Cynthia and Jesse Laughlin of Franklinville, NC; 20 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.The family would like to express their appreciation to Robin Trogdon for her kind and gentle care of Elsie over the past months.Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 or to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
