Elaine Harris

Elaine Steed Harris, age 64, of Greensboro died Monday, July 22, 2013 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Elaine was a native of Randolph County and was a retired school teacher for Southern Guilford High School. She was an intense person, writer along with being creative and very organized. Elaine took great pride in her family and students. She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Thomas Harris. She is survived by her daughter: Brooks Harris and her fiancé Michele Scotto di Perta of Greensboro; son: Joshua Harris and significant other Allison Jordan of Asheboro; mother, Angela Steed of Archdale; sisters: Donna Whitaker and her husband Gary of Randleman, and Renee Porter and her husband Butch of Ohio; brother: Guy Steed and his wife Grace of Randleman; grandchildren, Lilly and Brock Harris of Asheboro, and Daisy Scotto Di Perta of Greensboro. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 26, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Rev. Mike Butler officiating.
