Edward Eugene Lamb

Edward Eugene "Pete" Lamb, age 81, of 1337 Oakland Ave., Asheboro died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Neil C. Poole officiating. Burial will follow in the West Bend United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Lamb was a native of Asheboro and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Klaussner Furniture and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his sister, Kate K. Lamb of Asheboro; nephews, Frankie Lamb, Mitchell Lamb, Tommy Lamb, Darrell Lamb, and Edwin Lamb all of Asheboro; nieces, Donna Legendre of Labadieville, LA and Faye Goins of Asheboro; great nephews, Kenneth Lamb of Asheboro and Raymond Legendre of Labadieville, LA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
