Edward Arnold "Ed" Hall, age 75, of Trinity went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.
Ed was born in Orlando, FL at McCoy AFB to Bolton and Gladys Miller Hall. His family then moved to Montgomery, AL at Maxwell Air University and after that to Lapine, AL where he attended Montgomery County elementary and high school where he played drums in the school band. Ed later moved to Warner Robins, GA and Ed graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1960. Ed served his country in the U.S. Army where he was a member of the 82nd Airborne in Ft. Bragg and was in the military band. He was formerly employed with Klopman Mills in Asheboro. Ed has been the owner of Ed's Styles in Archdale for 48 years and is the owner of Archdale Video Productions. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Lexington where he was a Sunday School teacher, teaching this past Sunday. He was also a member of the church choir and served on the Administrative Board. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his siblings, Bolton Hall, Jr., Mildred Darnold, George Hall, and Roberta Russell. Ed played the drums for several gospel groups that include The Mt. Pleasant Singers, The Seekers Quartet, and The Luck Family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Gallimore Hall; sisters, Barbara Kennedy of Alpharetta, GA and Oleta Owens of Lapine, AL; brother, Robert Hall and wife Shelia Hall of Grady, AL; mother-in-law, Mary Gallimore of Trinity; many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, especially Shannon Tyson and Sherry DeCausemaker; his extended family, Alma and Danny Tyson, Taylor, Cody, April, Addyson, Zander, Hadley, Chelsey, and Michael; and his special loving dog, Walton.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 8138 E. Old Hwy 64, Lexington with Rev. Brad Treece and Rev. Bart Milleson officiating. Burial will be follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
