Edna Mabe Brown

Edna Mabe Brown, age 90, of Troy, NC died Sunday, July 26, 2015 at FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Troy, NC. Mrs. Brown was born December 20, 1924 the daughter of Rufus and Minnie Vaden Mabe. Edna was retired from Montgomery Memorial Hospital and a member of First Baptist Church of Troy, NC. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Ernest Foy Brown. She is survived by three sons: Ronald Brown and his wife Cathy of Troy; Phillip Brown of Mt. Gilead; Terry Brown and his wife Debbie of Mt. Gilead; 4 grandchildren: Shawn Foy Brown and wife Alesia of Troy, NC, Dawn Brown McGrady and husband Glenn of Asheboro, NC; Terran Mackman and husband Darren of Phoenix, Az; Lauren Brown of Phoenix, Az; 1 great granddaughter: Daryan McGrady. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Troy with Dr. Phil McRae officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery.
