Edna Page Dixon, age 94, of Randleman died peacefully at her home Thursday, April 17, 2014.
Edna was a native of Guilford County and a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church for 66 years. She was a woman of strong faith, putting her family and church first in her life and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her arms were opened wide with love for everyone and that love was returned to her. She was a loving, caring and humble person, who never complained. Edna was an excellent seamstress doing alterations for "Pickett's" for many years. She was creative and enjoyed quilting and cooking. In addition to her parents William and Charlotte Sutton Page, Mrs. Dixon is preceded in death by her brothers: James, Jack and Tom Page; sisters: Nellie Mae Willard and Mary Page.
Edna is survived by her loving husband of 73 years: Ross Dixon of the home; two daughters: Phyllis Neal of Randleman, and Brenda Kirkman and her husband Tom of Charlotte; grandchildren, Wendy Mahaney and her husband Jimmy of Grand Rapids, MI. and Jennifer McClure of Vass, NC; great grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Mahaney, Katie, Lauren and Caroline McClure; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 25, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 119 W. River Drive, Randleman with Rev. Carol Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
