Edith Osborne Pugh

Edith Osborne Pugh, age 95, of North Pointe Assisted Living died Monday, September 6, 2010 at Randolph Hospital. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery with Pastor Jim Honeycutt officiating. Mrs. Pugh was a native of Randolph County and a member of Asheboro Friends Meeting. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and always put her family first. Mrs. Pugh was preceded in death by her husband, Richard R. Pugh and parents, Earl and Modetta Osborne. She is survived by daughters, Hilda Pugh Handley and her husband David of Asheboro, Sandra Pugh Williams Reese and her husband Lawrence of Asheboro; grandchildren, Cindy Handley Moran and her husband Rickey of Asheboro, Steve Williams and his wife Jennifer of Reidsville, Ann Handley Councilman of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Ryne Williams of Reidsville, Gunner Councilman of Asheboro; sister, Dorothy Clark of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Thursday September 9, 2010 from 12:00-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Sandra Reese or Hilda Handley. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of North Pointe Assisted Living and Hospice of Randolph for the loving and tender care given to their mother.
