Edith Ann Dunn, born on February 20, 1954, of Asheboro, NC went to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, May 3, 2012, with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Dunn received her salvation at Soul Saving Station Church and later attended Covenant Christian Center. She was a graduate of Johnston High School in Smithfield and Guilford Community College where she received her Associate`s Degree in Psychology. She was previously employed at Moses Cone Hospital as a radiology technician and then the NC Department of Corrections until her failing health caused her to retire. Mrs. Dunn was a loving mother of 5 whose nurturing spirit was a major influence in her children's success. She was a diligent servant and soldier for the Lord. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Frank E. Dunn; parents, James and Annie Mae Raynor of Fayetteville; daughters, Hope Tanner and her husband Rashad of Monroe, Alicia Dione Dunn of Greenville; sons, Aaron Duane Dunn of Greensboro, Adrian Drew Dunn and his wife Jamie of Asheboro, Shawn Foxx of Mt. Holly; brothers, James Raynor, Jr. of Covington, GA, Rueben Raynor of Raeford, Anise Raynor of Fayetteville, LaFonde Raynor of Fayetteville; sisters, Julie McLaughlin of Wake Forest, Florence McCollum of Fayetteville, Tammy Jackson of Spring Lake, Michelle Taylor of Middleton, DE; grandchildren, Miah, Jayde, Paige, Malachi and Zephaniah Dunn, Ethan Tanner and Hannah Foxx. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Covenant Christian Church Ministries, 1565 Covenant Mountain Rd., Asheboro, and other times at 702 Cliff Road, Asheboro. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at Covenant Christian Church Ministries with Rev. Lois Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
