James Edward "Eddie" Morris, age 67, of Asheboro died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Tysinger officiating. Burial will be in the West Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Morris was born in Asheboro on October 6, 1946 to James Martin and Pallie Jeanette Lowe Morris, who preceded him in death. He was a 1963 graduate of Farmer High School and also a graduate of Elon College. He was the owner/operator of Morris Backhoe Service and Morris Leasing Service. He attended Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his wife, Renda Maness Morris; daughters, Kasey Mumbru and her husband Ricky of Little Elm, TX, Chasity Johnson and her fiancé Travis Wageman of Lake Tillery, NC, and Amanda Hartig and her husband Ryan of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Jordi, Pallie, Gael, Liam And Ian Mumbru;, Violet and Oliver Hartig, and Owen Wageman; sister, Ann O'Briant and her husband Bones of Asheboro, NC.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at his home.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff of the Randolph Hospice House for all their love and concern during Eddie's time there.
