Edgar Wilson "Eddie" Grant, Jr. age 60, of 729 Cheddington Dr., Asheboro died Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at his home. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 3:30 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.J. York officiating. Mr. Grant was a native of Asheboro and a 1969 graduate of Asheboro High School. He attended Giles Chapel United Methodist Church. Eddie was formerly employed with the family owned business, Grant & Ferree, and Arnold Jones Services of High Point. He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Wilson Grant. He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Burns Grant; son, Eric Wilson Grant and his wife Heather of Asheboro; mother, Mary Grant Foster of Asheboro; sister, Becky Grant Slaughter of Asheboro; mother-in-law, Una Burns of Asheboro; brothers-in-law, Sam Burns and his wife Lora of Asheboro, Scott Burns of Supply, NC, and Jimmy Burns of Yanceyville, NC; and seven very special nieces and nephews.
