Ed Moss

Horace Edward Moss, 86,went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Moss and Daisy Elizabeth Lingerfelt Moss and infant daughter, Gladys Lynette. Also his brothers, Hugh Moss and John Moss and sisters, Frances Carroway, Pauline Crocker and Cleona James. He worked and retired from the textile industry and was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church for 50 years. His favorite hobby was playing golf. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Myrtle B. Lakey Moss; daughter, Glenda F. Moss Wright and her husband Darrell Wright of Asheboro; sons, Thomas E. Moss and his wife Donna Jeffers Moss of Asheboro, James (Jim) E. Moss and his wife Julie Leonard Moss of Asheboro. Grandchildren are Brian Moss and his wife Karen, Jennifer Wright Needham, Emily Moss Copeland and her husband Todd and Luke Moss all of Asheboro. Great grandchildren are William and Troy Moss and Jaymie Nooe all of Asheboro. Also surviving are sister, Nellie Clack of Danville, VA and brother, Jay Moss of Carthage. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Dr.. Bruce Dickerson officiating.
