E.L. Clark

Ernest Leroy Clark, Jr., age 78, of 615 Highland St., Asheboro died Friday, March 7, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Clark was a native of Asheboro, was a 1948 graduate of Asheboro High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired brick mason and was a member of Pleasant Union Community Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ora McDowell Clark of the home, and daughter, Gale Clark Hasty and her husband Timmy of Randleman, NC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
