Dylan Jackson Lucas

Dylan Jackson Lucas, age 10, son of Joseph and Leigh Lucas, of 295 Basket Oak Drive, Bunnlevel, NC died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville. Dylan was born in Chapel Hill; he was a rising fourth grader at South Harnett Elementary School, where he was adept in math. A devoted Carolina Panthers fan, he described himself as being "addicted" to video games. He returned from Atlantis in February where he fulfilled his "Make a Wish Dream" to swim with the dolphins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Charles "Bug" York and Joseph Jackson Luck. In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister: Aimsley Kate Lucas of the home, grandmother, Cecile York of Sophia, NC; grandparents, Bob and Lynn Chaney of Franklinville, NC; and great grandmother, Nettie York of Asheboro, NC The funeral will be Wednesday, July 27th at 1:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 27th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC, and other times at the home of his Grandmother York, 2799 Banner Whitehead Road, Sophia, NC.
