Dwight Douglas "Doug" Luther

Dwight Douglas "Doug" Luther, age 58, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Luther was born in Asheboro on June 15, 1961 to Clarence and Mildred Butterworth Luther. Doug attended Southwestern Randolph High School and was formerly employed with Sapona Manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his parents. Doug loved to hunt, fish, and ride his Harley.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah "Debbie" Johnson Luther; daughter, Dawn Dixon of Chapel Hill; sisters, Deborah Nance of Asheboro and Penny Spencer and husband Allen of Asheboro; brothers, Johnny Mack Luther, Michael Luther and wife Carolyn, Walter "Pete" Luther and wife Janet, and Timothy Wayne "Tim" Luther and wife Jeanie all of Asheboro; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 12:30-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A memorial service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Wilburn officiating.
