Douglas Michael Prevette

Douglas Michael Prevette, age 71, of Greensboro died Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.

Douglas was a native of Frankfurt, Germany. He worked for Montgomery Ward for over 30 years. Douglas graduated from Page High School in 1965. He enjoyed watching major league baseball and college football. He was an avid reader and spent much of his retirement at local libraries. Motorcycles, muscle cars and the Pittsburgh Steelers were his passion. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all. Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Sonja Prevette.

He is survived by his daughters: Dulcie DeForge and husband Gary of Pleasant Garden, and Deanna Poston and husband Scottie of Level Cross; son: Joshua Prevette of Level Cross; grandchildren: Drew DeForge, Evan DeForge, Reece DeForge, Savannah Poston and Sage Poston; mother of his children, Jill Corder Prevette of Level Cross; sister: Mary Ann Smith and husband Wade of Kernersville; best friends, Currin Miller of Charlotte,  Jennings Griffin of Fruitland, FL.and Jerry Powell of Burlington.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 13, 2018 from 11:00 to 12:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N. OHenry Blvd., Greensboro with Rev. Richard Nunn officiating.
