Douglas "Mike" Duncan, age 54, of 1502 Randolph Tabernacle Rd., Asheboro died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 4:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Pastor Mark Spencer officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Duncan was born in Spokane, WA on November 26, 1958 to Billy and Brenda Duncan. Mike was retired from the U.S. Army and was formerly employed with United Brass Works. He was a member of New Beginnings Church. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his grandson Steven Davis. He is survived by his wife, Denise Duncan; daughters, Wendy Duncan Davis and her husband Michael of Southport, NC; Tammy Duncan of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Chrysta Davis, Alyssa Davis, Jacob Davis, Lacie Grant, and Stormy Grant; sisters, Donna "Donald" McIe of Asheboro, NC, Jeanette "Jenny" Duncan of Chadbourn, NC; brother, Gary "Buddy" Duncan of Trinity, NC; and 3 step brothers. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Randolph for their care and concern during Mike's illness. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
