Douglas Donald Cassel

Douglas D. Cassel, age 72, of 4070 Dunbar Bridge Road, Asheboro died Friday, February 1, 2013 at his home. Mr. Cassel was born June 28, 1940 in French Camp, CA the son of Harry Fredrick and Helen Myrtle Cassel. Mr. Cassel was Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War, former Manager of the Cattleman Steak House of Asheboro from 1979 - 1983 and retired from Epes Transport of Greensboro. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Lee Cassel. He is survived by daughter: Brenda Lee Laton and her husband, John of Asheboro;grandchildren: Joshua and Anna both of Asheboro, sister: Annita Thomas of Modesto, CA, sister-in-law: Peggy Ouwens of Kinston. The family will receive friends Monday, February 4, 2013 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. David Hunt officiating.
