Dorothy Christell Britt Williams, age 84, of Asheboro died Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mrs. Williams was born August 18, 1924 in Moore County, NC the daughter of John Andrew and Sallie Jane Sheffield Britt. Mrs. Williams was a native of Moore County and was retired from Jockey International. She was a member of Asheboro United Church of Christ and preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Williams and daughter, Sandra Klock. She is survived by Daughters: Libby W. Brown and husband Jim of Atlanta, GA, Marilyn W. Carter and husband Dennis of Mebane, NC; Grandchildren: Sherri B. Silkebakken; Jim Brown, Jr., Rachel B. Griffin; Katie Carter; Michael Carter; Great Grandchildren: Brett Silkebakken; Kristen Silkebakken; Alex Brown; James Griffin; Leila Dent; Seth Carter The family will receive friends Monday, September 22, 2008 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 2:00 PM. at Asheboro United Church of Christ, 801 Sunset Ave., Asheboro with Rev. Tom Benedict and Rev. Carol Dyson officiating.
