Dorothy Anthony Williams, age 82, of 500 Mountain Top Dr., Asheboro died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 1:15-1:45 pm in the Oakhurst Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 2225 South Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Oakhurst Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Crider officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was born in Asheboro on March 25, 1930 to Stanhope and Linnie Evelyn Teague Anthony, who preceded her in death. She was a 1948 graduate of Asheboro High School. Dorothy was formerly employed with Neely & Lisk of Asheboro for 29 years and retired from First American Mortgage of Greensboro. She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church of Asheboro where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She is survived by her husband, Charles Thomas Williams; daughter, Debbie Carlisle and her husband Scott of Asheboro; granddaughter, Jessica Burns and her husband Mike of Fayetteville, step grandson, Alex Carlisle of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Nora, Holden, and Davis Burns; and brother, David Anthony and his wife Joann of Asheboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakhurst Baptist Church, 2225 South Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27205.
