Dorothy Way "Dot" Stutts, age 83, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation in Asheboro.
Mrs. Stutts was born in Asheboro on August 21, 1934 to Glenn and Jessie Williams Way. She was retired from Champagne Dye Works where she was a secretary (Girl Friday). Dot was a talented pianist. She played the piano for many years at Central Wesleyan Church and played for several Gospel groups, including the Carolinians and the Gospel Tones. Dot was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Way Boone, father, Glenn Way, step-father, Paul Boone, sisters, Mildred Way Stutts and Carolyn (Bobbie) Way Hancock, and brother, Dean Way.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Way and wife Elaine of Ramseur.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark C. Beane officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
