Dorothy Perry

Dorothy "Dot" Freeman Perry, age 88, of Asheboro died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Mrs. Perry was born July 2, 1925 in Liberty, NC, the daughter of Dice Peter and Minnie York Freeman. She worked in textiles for over 35 years and was a member of West Bend United Methodist Church, where she was a former elementary Sunday school teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Wright and brothers, Clarence and Billy Freeman. She is survived by her husband of 70 years as of April, 2014, Ressie "R.D." Perry, Sisters: Bertha Lineberry and Gertha Ellington, both of Siler City, NC, and Beulah Brady of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2014 at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The funeral will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Drew McIntyre officiating. Memorials may be made to West Bend United Methodist Church, P.O.
