Dorothy Frazier Merritt

Dorothy "Dot" Frazier Merritt, age 89, of Asheboro died Monday, September 7, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Merritt was born in Randleman on April 25, 1926 to Everett and Mary Kivett Frazier. She was retired from Jockey International. In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Eugene Merritt, daughter, Shelia Joy Jeffery, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Spivey and husband John of Asheboro, Sherry Caviness of Asheboro; son, Harold Merritt and wife Kim Merritt of Wilmington; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and brother, Hal Frazier and wife Donna Frazier of Davidson. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 12:00-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery, 737 Albemarle Road, Asheboro with Pastor Jonathan Shook officiating.
