Dorothy Louise Lewallen

Dorothy Louise Lewallen, age 87, of Asheboro died Friday, December 5, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Ms. Lewallen was born August 3,1927and she was a native of Randolph County and retired from Randolph Hospital. She formerly worked with WGWR and WZOO radio stations. Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church in Asheboro where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir. She was preceded death by her parents Theodore R. and Grace Brown Lewallen and brother, Frank Ervin Lewallen. She is survived by sister-in-law, Bobbie Lewallen Gibson of Asheboro, NC; nieces, Ann Lewallen Haigler of Asheboro, NC, and Lori Lewallen Christman and husband Michael of Richmond, VA; great nephews, Will and Ryan Christman, and several cousins. The family will receive friends Monday, December 8, 2014 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at Monday at 4:00 at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Dr. Scottie Carpenter and Rev. Mark Hall officiating.
