Dorothy (Dot) Burrow Judd, age 92, of 700 S. Main Street, Asheboro, died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Randolph Hospice House.
Mrs. Judd was born June 15, 1919 in Franklinville, NC, the daughter of Issac and Mary Agnes Heilig Burrow. Mrs. Judd enjoyed doing volunteer work for several organizations. She was a devoted member of Asheboro Friends Meeting and especially loved singing in the choir. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was truly loved by everyone she met. Mrs. Judd was predeceased by her husband, John A. Judd; grandson, Brent Franklin Vestal; brothers, Howard Burrow and Obert Burrow; and sisters, Lillian Burrow Brown and Bebe Burrow Johnson.
She is survived by three daughters: Nancy Martin & husband Jim of Ramseur, NC; Patricia Hinton & husband Robin of Knoxville, TN; Kathy Pierce & husband Mark of Graham, NC; granddaughter, Julie Rochelle & husband Greg of Durham, NC; grandson, Eric Martin & wife Melissa of Ramseur, NC; granddaughter, Shannon Hagen & husband Michael of Ashland City, TN, 3 great grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Asheboro Friends Meeting, 230 E. Kivett St., Asheboro with Rev. Ken Thames, Rev. Pat Thames and Rev. Leslie Winslow officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro.
