Dorothy Lee Farrington Highfill, age 92, of Randleman died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Pleasant Garden.
Mrs. Highfill was born February 10, 1923 the daughter of the late John Alexander and the late Cora Grace McCanless Farrington. Dot was a native of Guilford County and a life-long member of Level Cross United Methodist Church. She was retired from the Southern Baptist Convention Center at Camp Caraway. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son: Jimmy Highfill; 4 sisters and 5 brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years: James Ray Highfill, sons: Jerry Highfill and his wife Brenda of Randleman, Roger Highfill and his wife Kathy of Randleman, and Danny Highfill and his wife Diane of Livonia, MI., daughter: Kathy Highfill of Goodview, VA.; brothers: Tommy Farrington of Greensboro, Clarence Farrington of Auburndale, FL; sister-in-laws: Billy Farrington of Powell, TN, Becky Farrington of High Point, and Mabel Cliffton of Greensboro; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11: 00 am at Level Cross United Methodist Church, 10142 U.S. Hwy. 220 Bus. N., Randleman. Burial will be in Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman.
