Dorothy Marie Frye

Dorothy Skeen Frye, age 76, of 335 Mack Rd., Asheboro died peacefully Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro.She was a native of the New Hope Community of Randolph County and was a homemaker. She was a member of West Bend United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Frye, and brothers Raeford and Robert Skeen.She loved her family unconditionally, but you could always see the gleam in her eye when her grandchildren and great grandchildren came into her presence. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands: Linda and Bill Burrow, Kathy Grubbs and Jimmy Sanders, Pam and Mickey Shaw, all of Asheboro, NC; Granddaughter, Beth Kearns of Wilmington, NC; Granddaughter and her husband, Mindy and Jason Poindexter of Asheboro, NC; Granddaughter and her husband, Ellie and Brett Eckerman of Asheboro, NC and granddaughter, Addie Shaw of Asheboro, NC; Grandsons, Bruce Burrow of Asheboro, NC, Chad Grubbs of Charlotte, NC, and Dillon Shaw of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter; Great Grandsons, Owen and Jackson Poindexter; Sisters: Margaret Black of Asheboro, NC and Delorice Hudson of Denton, NC; and Brother: Larry Skeen of Asheboro, NC .The family will receive friends Monday from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at her home. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at West Bend United Methodist Church, 1080 Albemarle Road, Asheboro with Rev. David Cox officiating.
