Dorothy Leah Marsh Dusek, age 85, of 4558 Old Greensboro Rd., Randleman died Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2008, at 2:00 PM, at the Lawndale Baptist Church Chapel, 3505 Lawndale Dr., Greensboro, NC where she was a member, with Dr. Joe Giartelli and Rev. Marion Boling officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
Mrs. Dusek lived most of her life in Chicago, IL, where she was a member of East Side Bible Church and was very active in the PTA and the Historical Society. She was also a former resident of Deleon Springs, FL where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Dorothy loved to garden, read and was active in her church choirs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Dusek whom she married in 1946 and by her grandson, Jonathan Robert Case.
She is survived by her son, Frank Dusek and his wife Faith of Northbrook, IL; daughters, Linda Ravenell and her husband Charles of Keaau, HI; Nicky Parrish and her husband Jim of Tinley Park, IL; Jill Devens and her husband John of Chicago, IL; Roberta Case and her husband Mark of Randleman, NC; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur Marsh of Beecher, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 2, 2008, following the service at the church until 3:30 PM.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
