Dorothy Allene Smith Hardison

Dorothy Allene Smith Hardison, age 82, of Asheboro died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Hardison was a native of Randolph County and a member of Sunset Avenue Church of God. She had worked at several restaurants in the area and was owner of Carolina Drive-Inn, Triad Steak and Fish House and cafeteria manager at Kayser-Roth Hosiery. She is survived by daughter, Chris McCracken of Asheboro; sons, Harrison "Harry" Smith of Asheboro, Randy Smith and his wife Carolyn of Asheboro; grandchildren, Charlesanna McCracken Smith and her husband Jonathan, C. J. McCracken, James McCracken; great grandson, Austin McCracken; brother, Homer Beaver of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Boyd Byerly officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff of Cross Road Retirement Center and Woodland Hills for the care given to Mrs. Hardison during her stay there.
