Doris Lucille Wood

Doris Lucille Wood, age 95, of Randleman died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Wood was born December 24, 1916 the daughter of Percy and Gertrude Pugh Wood. Doris was a native of Randolph County and member of Bethany United Methodist Church were she formerly served as church treasurer and a member of United Methodist Women. She retired from Klopman's in Ramseur. In addition to her parents Doris is preceded in death by her brothers Roy and James Wood, and sister Mabel Fields. She is survived by her sisters: JoAnne Rumbley and her husband Bobby of Franklinville and Mary Lou Whiley of Norwalk, CT. Several nieces and nephews and two "special adopted" grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Bethany United Methodist Church, 3650 Bethany Church Road, Franklinville with Rev. Dr. Russell Brownworth officiating.
