Doris C. Wright

Doris Cox Wright, age 88, formerly of Asheboro died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at North Pointe Assisted Living Community, Randleman. Doris was born June 28, 1926 to Hubert and Minnie Allen Cox. She was retired from General Electric and enjoyed crocheting, cooking and doing word search puzzles. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Warren W. Wright, grandson: Aaron Wright and brother: Allen Cox. She is survived by: son and his wife: Donald and Jane Wright of Lexington, NC; daughter and her husband: Sheila and Eddie Surratt of Trinity, NC; son and his wife: Darrell and Glenda Wright of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter and her husband: Donna and Tommy Cox of Winston- Salem, NC; granddaughter and her husband: Michelle and Mike Sarvis of Trinity, NC; granddaughter: Jennifer Needham of Asheboro, NC; and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, January 12, 2015 from 3:00-3:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 4:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Eric Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Cross Christian Church Cemetery, Asheboro. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the caregivers and staff of North Point Assisted Living for the kind and gentle care given to their mother.
