Donnie Ray "Booger" Jarrell, age 67, of 1378 Betsy Lane, Randleman died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Jarrell was born September 10, 1944 in Randolph County to Walter and Nellie Jarrell.
He was an Army veteran of Vietnam and attended Central Falls Baptist Church. He was owner of Jarrell Electric and was voted Asheboro's "Favorite Electrician" for 2 consecutive years. "Booger" never met a stranger and was an avid attendee of "Jed's Breakfast Club". As everyone knew, Donnie's love of cars was his life but most of all he loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years and the love of his life, Charlene Hill Jarrell; daughter, Angela Hoover and her husband Randal of Asheboro; grandsons, Caleb and Seth Hoover; sisters, Shelby Patrick and her husband Kenneth of Asheboro, Phyllis Greene and her husband Eddie of Asheboro; brother, Kenneth Jarrell and his wife Brenda of Randleman and his canine companion Max.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Central Falls Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
