Donald Ray Sheffield

Donald Ray Sheffield, age 90, died Monday, April 13, 2020 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. He was born August 29, 1929 to Howard Lee & Helen Prevo Sheffield. He was a native of Guilford County, retiring from Klopman Mills and Sapona Mfg. He was a charter member of Calvary Methodist Church, remaining there until moving his membership to Central Falls Baptist Church. He was a Sunday School teacher at both Churches. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary E. Parker Sheffield and his son, Steve Sheffield. He is survived by his children, Donna Kivett of Asheboro, Terri Staley of Ramseur, Jimmy (Martha) Sheffield of Asheboro and Scott (Tammy) Sheffield of Ramseur; grandchildren, Michael Evans, Michelle (David) Chriscoe, Kim Evans, B.L. Staley, Danielle Sheffield, Daniel (Dana) Sheffield, Cindy (Steve) Hayworth, Chris (Tina) Sheffield, Sonya Hancox, Richard Sheffield; step-grandson Christopher (Anisha) Biggers; great grandchildren, Courtney Chriscoe, Taylor Snow, Ethan and Troy Hayworth, Michael and Ashton Hancox, Cody, Josh and Dana Sheffield; great-great grandchildren, Kason Snow and Addie Hancox; and step-great great grandchildren Alec and Ian Biggers. Due to Covid-19, the family will have a private memorial service. Arrangements by Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro.
