Donald E. Moore

Donald Edward Moore, age 74, of Asheboro died Friday, September 18, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Moore was a native of Randolph County and retired from Sprint after 43 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era and was a member of Balfour Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and going to the beach. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his father, Charles Moore. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Moore; son, Jeff Moore and wife Melissa of Asheboro; granddaughter, Haylee Moore of Asheboro; sister, Judy Pugh and husband Ronnie of Franklinville; mother, Kate L. Moore of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Monday, September 21, 2015 from 1:30-2:45pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at his son's home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Edwards officiating. Burial with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
