Donald Burch Hopson

Donald Burch Hopson, age 76, of Randleman, formerly of Hillsborough died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mr. Hopson was born April 8, 1938 the son of Paul and Lola Baker Hopson. Mr. Hopson was a native of Hillsborough and served in the US Army. Donald was a former Boy Scout Leader and worked with United Way in Hillsborough. He retired from Cone Mills in Greensboro, then became a self employed general contractor. In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his brother, Shelton Hopson, and half sister Opal Neems. He is survived by his wife: Sandra Dixon Hopson of Randleman;, daughter: Dawn Smith of Randleman; son: Greg Hopson and his wife Tina of Randleman; grandchildren, Whitney Brewington, Shelby Smith, Garrett and Sarah Hopson; great grandchild, Jackson Brewington.
