Donald Floyd Gordon

Donald Floyd Gordon, of Asheboro, died Sunday, September 24, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Gordon was born in Randolph County to Clarence and Louie Gordon. He was formerly employed in Pittsburg, PA with US Steel and was also employed with Ray Morton Construction and Oliver Rubber Company. Mr. Gordon loved hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine C. Gordon, son, Mike Bedson and sisters, Faye G. Meltzer, Sandra Gordon and Sylvia Seawell.

He is survived by daughters, Karen Gordon of Asheboro, Debbie Gordon of Asheboro; sons, Mark Gordon and wife Patricia of Asheboro, their child Greg Park and wife Megan and their children, Lincoln and Jonas, Barry Gordon and wife Holly of Charleston, SC, their child Michelle, Chris Bedson and wife Lisa of Charleston, SC, their children Abigail-Leigh, Travis and Jennifer; sister, Rose Gordon Holt and husband Carl of Siler City; sister-in-law, Virginia Cornish of Charleston, SC.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 4:00 – 5:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Chaney and Rev. Bobby Chaney officiating.
