Donald Gene Freeman

Donald Gene Freeman, age 64, of Asheboro died Friday, August 16, 2013 at his home. Mr. Freeman was born June 10, 1949 in Guilford County to Vernon and Lucille Whitt Freeman. He was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran. Mr. Freeman was employed as a salesman for Bell-Power Systems, a John Deere distributor. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Betty Jean Luck Freeman; son and his wife, Daniel Bridges and Lauren Allison Freeman of Charleston, SC; mother-in-law and her husband , Mildred Luck and Herbert Russell of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Dr. Richard Crider officiating. Burial with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
