Donald Bean Craven

Donald Bean Craven, age 73, of 1739 Harvell St., Asheboro died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklinville United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Donald was born April 15, 1935 in Cedar Falls to Walter Raymond Craven, Sr. and Inez Bean Craven. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from Centel/Sprint after 34 years of service. He was a member of Balfour Masonic Lodge #188. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Terri Leigh Craven. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Craven; son, Eric Brandon Craven of Asheboro, NC; stepsons, Mark Brady of Bennett, NC; and Ricky Brady of Randleman, NC; 6 grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Cheek of Asheboro, NC and brother, Walter Raymond "Sonny" Craven, Jr. of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
