Donald Calvin Cranford, Sr.

Donald C. Cranford, Sr., age 90, of 949 Page Street, Troy died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at his home. Mr. Cranford was born February 23, 1920 in Stanly County, NC, the son of Cager Lineberry and Lela (Deaton) Cranford. He was a former mechanic with General Refactory of Baltimore, MD. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Crabtree Cranford. He is survived by two sons: Donald C. Cranford, Jr. of Troy, and Dale Cranford of MD; two stepsons: George Hardinger of Westminister, MD and Charles Hardinger of Baltimore, MD; one step-daughter, Eda Day of Norfolk, VA; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 noon until 1:30 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 pm at Southside Cemetery, S Main St, Troy with Tony Sedberry officiating. Arrangements by Pugh-Troy Funeral Home
