Diza Sanders Kemp

Diza Sanders Kemp, age 96, of 428 Lanier Street, Asheboro died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the home of her son.Diza was a native of Randolph County and a long-time, active member of First Baptist Church of Asheboro where she taught Sunday School in the Children's Department for many years. She retired from the textile industry. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: Lloyd Kermit Kemp. She is survived by: daughter and her husband, Hilda and Earl Mitchell of Springfield, VA; son and his wife, Charles and Sylvia Kemp of Asheboro, NC; grandson and his wife, John and Laura Mitchell of Suffolk, VA; grandson and his wife, Todd and Laura Mitchell of Annandale, VA; step grandchildren, Kevin and Melissa Cox of Asheboro, NC; step grandchildren, Duane and Dana Ford of Franklinville, NC; 4 great grandchildren; and two sisters: Vellie Stutts and Kate Brewer both of Asheboro, NC.The family will receive friends Monday, December 7, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 133 North Church Street, Asheboro with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating.
