Dixie Jernigan Knowles

Dixie Jernigan Knowles, age 68, of Randleman died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs Knowles was a native of Newton Grove, NC and retired from Acme-McCary. Dixie and John were married 51 years and she loved her family. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, and going shopping. She loved animals, especially her granddog, Denver. She is survived by her husband: Johnny Knowles of the home; daughter: Pamela Pugh of New Orleans, LA; son-in-law, Jimmy Pugh of Snellville, Ga. ; son: Johnny Knowles, Jr. and his wife, Regina of Winston- Salem; grandchildren, Jeremy Pugh of Snellville, GA., Joshua Pugh of Savannah, GA; step grandchildren, Kevin Gibson of Winston- Salem; Kristopher Delgado and his wife, Benita of San Antonio, TX; Nicholas Delgado and his wife, Leslie of San Antonio, TX; step great grandchildren, Makenzie, Aiden, Zachary, and Ryan Delgado. The family will receive friends Friday, May 20, 2011 from 2:00 - 2:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Jon Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
