Dick Gaddis

T.D. "Dick" Gaddis, age 89, of 1306 Old Cox Rd., Asheboro died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston- Salem. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 133 North Church Street, Asheboro with Dr. John S. Rogers, Rev. Mark Hall and Mr. Tom Snead officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Mr. Gaddis, a native of Randolph County, retired as Superintendent of Bossong Hosiery after 48 years of service. He was a devout member of First Baptist Church where for many years he served as a deacon. Mr. Gaddis was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Doris Betts Gaddis. He is survived by sons, Mike Gaddis and his wife Loretta of Creedmoor, NC and Joe Gaddis and his wife Mary Jane of Greenville, NC; grandchildren, Melanie Roberts and her husband Teddy of Creedmoor, NC, Jeff Gaddis and his wife Angie of Greenville, NC, Kelly Neel and her husband Blake of Greenville, NC, Stacy Gaddis of Greenville, NC, Walker Gaddis of Greenville, NC; and great granddaughter, Kenan Roberts of Creedmoor, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 15, 2008 for one hour prior to the service at the church.
