Diane Nuckols Scearce

Delores Diane Scearce, age 54, of Asheboro died Monday, November 11, 2013 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Burial Park, 3059 N. Main St./Piney Forest Rd., Danville, VA. Mrs. Scearce was a native of Danville, VA. Diane was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her animals, especially her feline pet Chester. Diane was very strong willed. She loved the sun, the beach and her flowers. Diane loved planes and had flown in all of the warbirds at the Asheboro Municipal Airport. She is survived by her husband, Roy Scearce of the home; daughter, Melissa Scearce and her friend Robert Taylor, Jr. of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Michaela Tucker and Michael "Pea Pod" Tucker, Jr. of Asheboro, NC; parents, Billy And Mary L. Nuckols of Danville, VA; and sister, Jean Hartley and her friend Andy Fuqua of Leasburg, NC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
