Diana Florence Williamson Dickinson, age 69, of 4698 US Hwy 220 Bus. South, Asheboro died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Temple Church, 6120 US Hwy 220 Business South, Asheboro, with Pastor Wayne Eller and Rev. Mark Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Flag Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Dickinson was a native of Randolph County and was a charter member of Whispering Pines Presbyterian Church where she was a pianist, organist and soloist. She was an active supporter of the Ulah Fire Department and the Ulah community. Mrs. Dickinson was formerly employed with Stedman Manufacturing, Black and Decker and was corporate secretary for D-Blaze Fire Extinguisher and Security Systems. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeremy Dickinson; her brother, Bobby Williamson and her father Ollie Williamson.She is survived by her husband: Jerry Dickinson; son: Mike Dickinson and his wife Donna of Asheboro; daughter: Kim Black and her husband Bam of Asheboro; mother: Mittie Williamson of Seagrove; grandchildren: Lindsay Hancock of Troy, Preston Hannah of Asheboro, Trenton Dickinson of Asheboro, Karmen Diana Black of Asheboro, Lars Black of Asheboro, great grandchild: Kali Hancock of Troy, NC; sister: Geneva Garner of Robbins, and brother: Hal Williamson of Seagrove.The family will receive friends Saturday, February 14, 2009 from 6 - 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, and other times at the home of Mike Dickinson, 4709 US 220 Bus. South, Asheboro and Kim Black, 371 Brantley Dr., Asheboro.
