Derrick Louis Stewart

In loving memory, Derrick Louis Stewart, age 20, of 4221 Stewart St., Sophia died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his home. Derrick was a native of Randolph County. He loved being in the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and four wheeling. Derrick also enjoyed spending time with his daughter Kaylee "his little princess". Derrick was known for his "big heart" and loving all of those he came in contact with. He is survived by his wife: Kristin Blackwell Stewart of the home; daughter: Kaylee Stewart of the home; father: Jimmy Stewart and his friend Cindy Hockett of Sophia; mother Kimberly Black and her husband Greg of Walkertown; brother: Jimmy Stewart, III of Sophia; sisters: Nicole Redding and her husband Chris, niece, Madelyn of Sophia, Amanda Smith and her fiancé Cory Tilley of Walkertown and Casey Stewart of Sophia; brother-in-law, Coty Blackwell of Sophia; mother-in-law, Donna Bryant and her husband Sidney of Sophia. The family will receive friends Monday, May 7, 2012 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Pastor Benny Smith officiating.
