Dempsey Lyndon Perry

Dempsey Lyndon Perry, age 79, of 4153 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Flag Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Jarrett and Rev. Alvin Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Perry was a native of Randolph County and was retired from Duke Energy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and walking his dogs. Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Dempsie and Gladys Tuttle Perry and brothers, Glenn and Steve Perry. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Perry; daughter, Bonnie Perry and David Smith of Asheboro; son, Jeff Perry and his wife Darlene of Asheboro; grandchildren, Isaac Perry of Asheboro, Rachelle Perry of Randleman, Ashley Perry of Ramseur, Preston Smith of Asheboro, Cody Perry of Asheboro, Jordan Perry of Asheboro; great grandchildren, twins, Braxton and Ayla; brothers, Mickey Perry of Crestview, FL, Basil Perry. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
