Delmar Leo Spivey

Delmar Leo Spivey, age 76, Asheboro died Friday, October 30, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Delmar was a native of Randolph County and owner of D & S Garage Doors for 10 years. He had previously worked for Frank Snyder Construction and Frank Auman Construction. Delmar was a huge NASCAR Fan and had done his own driving at Caraway Speedway in his cars #7 and #11 and drove car #98 for someone else. He also enjoyed deer hunting, baseball and country music. Mr. Spivey is preceded in death by his brother, Roy Spivey and sister Vilene Hoover. He is survived by his wife: Sue Strider Spivey of the home; daughters: Sherrie "Lynn" Carter (Joey) of Climax, and Patricia Pierce (Bryan) of Randleman; grandchildren: Timothy Carter (Tiffany), Ashley Cummings (Blair) and Brittany Loumiotis (Pete); 6 great grandchildren;sister: Maephon Wirt of Sophia. The family will receive friends Monday, November 2, 2015 from 1:00 - 1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St., Randleman. A graveside service will be Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Matt Gunter officiating.
